The Inmates In Charge Of The Asylum

I was always taught by my father that if a company asks you to leave, go nicely, like a gentleman and your career will profit in the future. What I am hearing from all the hosts is a lot of guttersniping against their employers, sour grapes and tonight, Conan started trying a case for himself by reciting his TV Guide ratings. Maybe this is orchestrated between all of them and basically shtick, I really do not know. When Conan gave us those rating numbers and I thought TV Guide went away when the Internet and Cable Guides arrived, that is not for the stage that is back room NBC business. Let's just put things in its proper prespective, the bottom line in Conan's case is that he did not pull, an open and shut case. Jimmy Fallon did not appeal to viewers past 35. Jay Leno maybe wrestled his way in by a who you know thing and whether a time change can get him started is unknown. Letterman is in good shape though no kid, sharp, clever and a fabulous wit. Like many fans, I watch Dave but I do not particularly like him. Carson Daly is a super nice person and I love the accent on music his show demonstrates but there are not too many people up at that hour. I think Conan would do better on cable with a solid time slot but in the event that dissing NBC and gloomy gus talk is not in the preffered script, the guys that write the paychecks may send him off on a profitable contract breach.
