Conan Does Not have Much Of A Case

I saw Conan's diatribe today on the news where he argued against NBC, his Boss, shifting him forward after Jay Leno. Conan seemed to be pressing the case for leaving him and the Tonight Show where it is now because that would represent the preservation of something historical in nature. Conan today reminded me of the students who got 65 test scores but argued with the teacher that they should have been awarded points for studying harder and raising their hands more in class. Both Jay Leno and Dave Letterman have many more years of Late Night hosting and both are classic performers while Conan's trade was that of a TV writer and I have never considered him to be in the same league as the other two gentleman. Another observation is that Jay and Dave have much more power in the industry, contacts and you can consider them as businessman who really know how to navigate the entertainment industry. The ratings do not lie just like the gypsy tea leaves which should be apparent to Conan that these are hard core data that refute any argument by Conan that he should remain where he is, NBC after all rightfully for now makes all the decisions. Physical comedy went out with Martin and Lewis and  it was always the case that Conan compensated  for his weakness in dry wit and being a comic host. The series of jokes about a crumbling Newark where crime and unemployment are devestating was not meant to be serious or consequential but was a poor topic to be a humorist about under any condition.
